Description:  An explosion of new payment methods becoming available in the last 10 years has reshaped how consumers pay for things and have coincided with economic and demographic changes in the global workforce.  With this constellation of changes impacting every element of the way we work, it is time to reexamine how and when employees are paid and the potential impact of pay on the workplace of the future.  As physical credit cards wane and more employees are moving into a world where digital wallets and mobile banking will be the way consumers conduct business and manage finances it may have an impact on how pay is distributed to your employees.

Cancellation Policy - Due to our contractual obligations HRAPA does not allow cancellations.  However, we do allow for substitutions to the meeting as long as the HRAPA is notified within 1 day of the meeting. 

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

HRAPA will be collecting items for the Virginia Statewide Payroll Conference charity  LOA Area Agency on Aging. LOA is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.

Since 1972, the LOA has provided a variety of community-based services to help you remain as independent as possible — for as long as possible.

LOA provides Meals-on-Wheels and diners clubs, volunteer opportunities and caregiver services.  LOA also helps you find assistance with personal care, emergency needs or legal problems, with essential transportation and even a fan or air conditioner.  New programs such as Assisted Transportation and Care Transitions have been added to better meet the changing demands.

They administer over 25 community services that provide nutrition, education, advocacy, and socialization.

The LOA serves persons 60 and older and their families in the Fifth Planning District of Virginia, including:

• Alleghany County,
• Botetourt County
• Craig County
• Roanoke County
• Covington
• Roanoke City
• Salem
