At our August meeting, the HRAPA chapter will be hosting a Food Drive to support the Virginia Statewide Payroll Conference charity service project "Feeding America Southwest Virginia. "

Their mission is to feed Southwest Virginia’s hungry through a network of partners and engage our region in the fight to end hunger.

Feeding America Southwest Virginia has served the 26 counties and associated municipalities that make up Southwest Virginia for over three decades. As the leader in hunger relief in this region, FASWVA distributes more than 20 million pounds of food annually to nearly 400 partner agency soup kitchens, rescue missions and food pantries.

Feeding America Southwest Virginia serves the following regions:

Salem Distribution Center:
Counties: Bedford, Botetourt, Carroll, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Henry, Montgomery, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Pulaski, Roanoke, Wythe
Cities: Bedford, Danville, Martinsville, Radford, Roanoke, Salem 

Abingdon Distribution Center:
Counties: Bland, Buckanan, Dickenson, Grayson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Tazewell, Washington, Wise
Cities: Galax, Norton, Bristol

Alleghany Highlands Direct Distribution Program:
County: Alleghany
City: Covington
